12 Tray Automatic Sprouter

Unfortunately this sprouter proved too big to box and ship reasonably so it is no longer available BUT, you can buy the kit and build it yourself or you can buy a 6 tray sprouter kit instead. When I designed this sprouter I was growing in just water and it needed the automatic system but now I use the growing medium the automatic drip system is not necessary. This sprouter is large enough for a family to stay healthy or will grow all the wheatgrass needed to heal from major disease. It has 6 plexiglass shelves with 12 10x20 inch reusable trays. Each tray grows enough wheatgrass to make between 6 and 10 ounces of juice, depending on your growing conditions and how soon you harvest. You will find it easy to grow all the wheatgrass you need to get healthy. The wheatgrass generally takes 10-12 days to grow. Most growers recommend using it at about 6-8 inches in height. At that size the wheatgrass is sweet and mild tasting. How fast the wheatgrass will grow will depend on your particular microclimate. In the summer you can grow up to 12 trays in ten days, that is more than a tray of wheatgrass a day. You will have plenty to share with your friends and family. The sprouter can be used inside the house or outside on a deck or patio. When the temperature falls below 50 degrees outside it is time to move your sprouter inside, because it takes longer to grow when it is cooler. The winter wheat that we grow for wheatgrass grows best at a temperature range of 55-75 degrees. The sprouter is about the size of a refrigerator but it weighs less than 50 lbs so it is easy to move indoors in the winter and outdoors in the summer. It can be taken apart in moments. The wheatgrass sprouter has an well-designed fitted cover with screens to make it into a mini-greenhouse. The doors open to the side and secure out of the way while you do your sprouter chores. It has good ventilation to keep the sprouts warm but not overly humid. There is a double door of screening material and fabric so that the fabric can be left open in hot, humid climates for more ventilation. In this kind of climate the screen will keep out the vinegar flies that are attracted to the acidic water. Vinegar flies are a close relative to fruit flies and without screens any growing system will generate a large colony of flies in just a few days. The sprouter is 25 x 26 x 64 tall and has 6 feet of high pressure hose to connect to a hose-bib. This can be a garden hose-bib or the faucet in your laundry room sink or washing machine. It can be placed on a covered porch or patio out of direct sun or inside the house near a sunny window. In the winter you may need to add grow lights to replace sunlight. The automatic sprouter has a drain and can drain onto your garden or deck. Indoors you can put a container underneath the sprouter and empty it when you tend your sprouts. After connecting to the water supply the sprouter waters and fertilizes automatically as many times as necessary for your particular microclimate. I include complete growing instructions so don't worry if you don't have a green thumb. This is so easy and so rewarding. It will even oxygenate your home while it is growing. There is nothing else on the market like this product at any price.
