Build Yourself a 6 Tray Sprouter
This kit contains almost all the supplies you need to make a 6 tray sprouter. There are 2 DVDs in the kit, one for building the sprouter and one for growing the wheatgrass. Everything is explained very completely. If you are at all handy you should have no problems building the sprouter.
The sprouter is made of pvc pipe and has fibreglass shelves. It is very similar to the one I sell on this site for $275-. I think it is the easiest and best way to grow wheatgrass for juice.
The kit contains:-
- 2 DVDs - 1 constructing, 1 growing
- CD to print out instructions on computer
- 4 4-way pvc connectors (hard to find)
- plastic for the base
- fibreglass screening for the shelves
- 8 growing trays
- necessary pins
- fabric cover for germinating tray
- soaking seed container with screen top
- sample bag of perlite
- sample bag of Canadian Sphagnum Peatmoss
- 1 oz dropper bottle of Citricide
- 1 oz dropper bottle of kelp fertilizer
- 5 lbs organic wheat seed
You will need to buy about $35- of supplies from your local Home Depot or Hardware store to complete the sprouter. The cover is optional and would cost another $17- for you to make yourself from supplies from Home Depot. This would be a pullover cover like my sprouters used to have. The reason to have a cover is to keep out cats.
Now you can provide a day's labor and have a $275- sprouter for about half the price.
The dvds have an inkjet label printed directly on them - no paper labels that could harm your machine.

I ordered the 6-tray "build-your-own" kit. So much though has been put into this, that anyone can do it! The DVDs and CD that come with the kit are so much more than I expected. Every question is answered and it's so much easier to see than read.
The hardest part is the wait. After you spend your "waiting for things to grow" time reading up on all the benefits of wheatgrass (I HIGHLY recommend Ann Wigmore's book), the day you juice your first tray you feel like celebrating.
That day came for me just over a week ago. I have not missed a day, and don't intend to. Let me tell you something.I've tried wheatgrass from juice bars, etc., and it tastes like crap. Using Pam's system, there is actually a " sweetness" to the juice-it tastes good!
Having said that, there are two more things I must say: 1 ) Invest in a good juicer; get every last drop you can.
2) Don't expect an immediate euphoria from wheatgrass juice. Expect a more "foundational" presence. Like I said, it's only been a week, but I notice much less fatigue (I'm a busy guy). I notice more clarity and more endurance. Compare these descriptions with your typical pot of coffee or red bull and it might make sense. I suppose the best way to put it would be to say that it is "more consistent" as opposed to a constant barrage of ups and downs.

It is obvious that you have spent many many hours of trial and error perfecting your wheatgrass growing method. And now for a very modest cost, you are willing to share the fruits of your labor and then I get to benefit by avoiding mistakes.
I really appreciate the work that you've done. For anyone not sure about Pam or her method, I can assure you that she is very honest and you will save a lot of time and money, and avoid costly mistakes, if you follow her advice on her methods and products.
